A week after covid lockdown Matt wanted to shoot his gun 🔫, and I wanted to do some 4 wheel driving ⛰️.

Well, the GWM Cannon Ute / P-Series / Poer / Pao isn’t the perfect truck.
I love it 🥰, but there a few niggly things that I wish GWM would fix.

Neville and Paula visited yesterday, and Paula asked “Is there anything left for you to do on your truck?”.

A little while ago I thought it would be great to install a Light Bar.
Unfortunately, that meant there were consequences for my roof racks, and top basket.
I started with a cheap black roof basket from TradeMe , but I soon decided I wanted a custom roof basket / roof tray made from alloy.

So, one day while I was meandering around on the internets, specifically the Facebook Group GWM Cannon Owners of New Zealand, somebody mentioned they’d like extra reversing lights.
This idea stuck in my mind for a while, until I decided, bugger it, let’s install more lights 💡
And while I was shopping, I accidentally came home with some Bullbars 🚘, and some decals 🌈.

It’s important not to steal your daughters joy of announcing her first child.

So after a few trips away, and not being able to lock things in the back, and having committed to a light bar on my roof racks (which means I can’t carry my snow board 😒), I finally caved to installing a hard lid.
I mean, I always wanted one, I just didn’t want to pay Ute Master prices.
So, I designed and built my own hard lid.
